Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. issues bonds for the third time

With the issuance of new bonds, Staatsolie wants to attract US$ 150 million from investors with the aim of renewing the 2015-2020 Staatsolie bond and implementing the 2020-2027 investment program, including the investment in the Pikin Saramacca gold mine from IAMGOLD Rosebel Gold Mines. These investments will contribute to the further growth and success of Staatsolie. De Surinaamsche Bank N.V. is also the arranger of this bond issue. The listing on the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (DCSX) means that everyone staying in Suriname and CuraƧao can participate.

The bond issue was launched on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Registration starts on February 5 and lasts until March 5. The allocation is from 6 to 9 March. Current bondholders are preferred when registering and allocating. They may use their current bonds as payment for the new ones.

Subscription to the third Staatsolie bond is possible for amounts from US$ 100 or US $30,000 or multiples thereof. At registration you can choose to invest for 5.5 years at 7% interest or 7 years at 7.5% interest per year. The interest payment is twice a year, in March and September. The start date of the bond is March 23, 2020 and the first interest payment is on September 23, 2020.

Staatsolie has experienced the confidence of society in the bond issues in 2010 (US $ 55 million) and 2015 (US $ 99.1 million). Staatsolie has proven to be trustworthy because the company has always met its interest and repayment obligations. Thanks to the expansion of its activities from oil production and refining to gold and energy generation, the company has become bigger and stronger and ready for a more successful future. The third bond issue offers interested investors a chance to be part of Staatsolie's success.
